In the following article, some good practices allowing to achieve these actions in the best possible conditions.
General
During the signer's identification audit, the person must have a valid identity document (NIC, European passport or French residence permit with a chip and optical/MRZ lines).
Driving license is not accepted.
The document must be in PNG or JPG or PDF format (The front and back of an ID must not be on a same page).
This one must be scanned or photographed in its entirety, in colour and as neat as possible.
Black and white copies or blurred documents will be systematically refused. If the document is truncated or some elements on are hidden, it will be impossible to validate the identity.
Neither duplicated photographs nor copies of any sort will be considered valid.
Copy of copy : Refused
Photograph with a general view, not right, but all the document is visible: Accepted
Smart card from EU state : Accepted
MRZ lines hidden : Refused
Passport in its entirety (the upper page is not necessary) : Accepted
The input
When these prerequesites are respected, you can begin the input.
The e-mail adress must be written in lowercase letters.
During the input, the information's transmission must be done in the most accurate way:
- Last name and first name's spelling must be STRICTLY identical between the file and the identity document (especially the compound last name or first name).
- In the case of a compound last name or first name, both last names or first names must be separated by a dash.
- In the case of several first names, they must be separated by a comma.
- In the case when the married name appears on the identity document, we recommend you write just the maiden name (the name written on the lower left corner of the document).
Arrangements and validation deadlines
The process is divided into two parts: the first one is full automated and validates customer's identity documents. To be sure this process is to be succeeded, the following nomenclature must be respected.
When you send us an identity document, if it is a passport, we need the first page (with the photograph and nominative information). If it is an identity card or French residence permit, we need both sides. These pages should not contain any other information. They must not be truncated or blurred.
If the Universign automaton doesn't succeed in validating automatically the document, the request falls into manual validation. Thereby, a validation operator must analyze the document. This process can last several hours, until 24h worked.
Once a given status on your request (valid or invalid), we cannot return one (for security reasons you could understand). A new demand must be done.
